    Localizing user Defined Types
    #1 by david-c-barnum-eui on Oct 13, 2011 8:20:03 PM

I have been evaluating Magnolia and wondering how people are handling localizing their own user defined data types, these are not web pages has any one done this before ? If I create a user defined type Foo and it has a description that I want to localize to several languages what is the recommended approach for this ?

Do you mean types defined in the data module ? So you'd want to localize the dialogs ? This follows the same process as any other dialog, afaik. Set an i18nBasename in your dialog, and use keys from this resource as labels and descriptions for your dialog's elements.
    See http://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/reference/dialogs.html and http://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/technical-guide/i18n.html#Dialogs

If you want to localize the *content*, see http://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/technical-guide/i18n.html#Authoring
